I’ve been using the same motherboard and RAM for nearly a year. Recently, one of my RAM slots in the motherboard stopped working, so I’m now using just one slot and one RAM. I’ve noticed the computer powers on briefly—about a second—and then restarts after a short delay. I changed the RAM position to check if that was the issue, but since no RAM is connected, it won’t boot. How can I resolve this intermittent power-up problem?

Are you certain it's the RAM problem? It seems like the motherboard might be damaged or failing, especially with the motherboard slot already showing issues.

These are the configuration details. My CPU is the H110M gaming model from MSI, and my RAM is the Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB.

It could be. I've also faced issues with my PSU, but I'm not certain it's the real cause.

The issue appears to lie with the motherboard rather than the RAM. It might have caused damage to it.

I'd suggest checking out the B550 chipset board, often found within a budget range. It's compatible with the I7-7700K and fits your price point.
