Uncertain about the meaning of the MSI window or how it behaves. Some might be familiar with it, but I’m not. It could relate to the CPU or motherboard, yet it’s tough to identify without debugging details. Without any information, it seems MSI is handling the task.
All systems were turned off and I pressed the reset button before clearing the CMOS to remove any remaining charge.
Did you create it yourself or did someone else? I observed a smooth performance with a Ryzen 1200 processor on board B450M-A earlier this week. It was removed from its socket and put back in, then everything worked perfectly. I suspect the pins might not have made solid contact while I packed the socket with electrical grease. To simplify things, I've replaced a couple of CPUs on the board, but sometimes the 1200 still wouldn't post. Re-seating it resolved the problem. When examining the chip closely, I noticed a few pins slightly bent in one row. I straightened them and it's been fine ever since.
I assembled it myself. After removing all components from their packaging and putting everything back together, it started working immediately. I ran it through several stress tests to verify its performance. Eventually, I gave it to him as a gift for Christmas. He used it for roughly two weeks before reporting a few shutdowns while playing games. After that, it stopped working completely and never came back on. Since I wasn’t monitoring the PC every time he used it, I can’t confirm he never opened it or made any changes.
It seems the GPU was likely damaged, causing the OC protection to trip. After replacing it with a new one, the system started working properly. I remember thinking I might have booted without a GPU at all, but probably only tried with the power supply disconnected. Either way, the issue is resolved now.
