Hello, I recently purchased a custom-built PC and noticed it tends to overheat. During a game of Doom, Core Temp showed extremely high temperatures across all cores (refer to the attached screenshot). I suspect the cooler might not be properly seated. Could you suggest any tests to check for cooling issues? I tried Prime95 but it immediately flagged all cores as red, so I stopped there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The 240mm AIO isn't doing enough to handle a hot component like a 13700K. It's likely a concern you should discuss with the maker.

Reapply the thermal paste again. I’ll check with the manufacturer to determine if they can swap out the unit. For the 4000D airflow, it’s either 280mm at the top or 360mm at the front.

Those readings at 129W sound unusual. Have you used Core Temp recently? It might reflect a faulty setup or a failing cooler. MSI Core Liquids are often reported to cause issues if they become clogged.

They proposed swapping the initial cooler for that model AIO.

You'll need to verify the mounting alignment. Compare idle temperatures to establish a reference point versus the load temperatures. Inspect the tubing and sense any variation in heat between the two sections—one should show higher warmth than the other.

I’ve tried several other tools to verify the measurements, and they all match the same values. It looks like it’s an accurate live reading. Here’s another image I captured while downloading a game from Steam.

I meant the power number, which is the key detail here. The usual reference is HWiNFO64. I'm guessing a poor cooler.

When it's idle, everything seems fine. The temperatures rise right away, and I don't notice any changes in the tubes.

I would certainly request an upgrade, though they believe everything is functioning properly.
