Another approach involves evaluating the contact frame design, which targets a specific vulnerability in the 1700 socket (more affordable options exist as well)

It seems the AIO struggles to release heat quickly enough during heavy CPU use. A 360mm model would be necessary for efficient cooling of a 13700K system.

The 13700k can be cooled with air if power limits aren’t unlimited. Its temperatures reaching 130W suggest the cooler is either completely faulty or improperly installed. Depending on the model, this likely points to a broken unit.

The issue might lie with the AIO. The case without the side panel seems to be a better setup for testing. There’s no specific test mentioned, but reviewing the current setup could help confirm the problem. If you need proof, sharing screenshots would be useful. Thanks!

Indicates poor contact when temperatures rise sharply under load, with core-to-core deltas also elevated around 10-11°C. This problem worsens when the cooler is heavily domed for better contact. Consider using a Thermalright contact frame to minimize IHS warping and improve your AIO's cooling efficiency. I experienced roughly 10°C lower temps and much tighter core-to-core spacing, delivering the best performance for the price I've ever invested in. A 240mm should not be running such hot CPUs during basic gaming.

I've returned the PC for them to review; they believe it's within normal range. For comparison, I performed identical tests and played Doom Eternal on my other machine, where temperatures stayed below 60°C. This setup uses an air-cooled i7-9700K with a 3080 RTX versus a water-cooled i7-13900K with a 4070 RTX. They should see the issue and address it, thank you.

They only began examining the PC three weeks after sending it back. I requested a refund, but they refused. Now they claim the issue was caused by me altering the BIOS. This is clearly a lie! I simply plugged it in and saw the high temperatures—reached out to them right away!

Looks good for a 13,700k budget. A 253W versus 200W shift means about 1.265 times more heat removal, which in turn affects CPU temps by roughly 1.25 times higher. Figuring this out isn’t straightforward because the math gets trickier when you factor in pump/fan adjustments and the fact that CPU temps aren’t direct or linear readings. It’s hard to pin down a single accurate relationship without many more influencing factors.
