Is this a suitable overclock for the 6600k?
I am currently pushing my friends' PC to higher speeds, which runs a 6600k. Since I'm not very experienced with this process, I'm reaching out for help.
My current settings are 4.2ghz at 1.23V. I attempted to lower it to 1.123V, but it would reset back up. Now I'm stuck at 1.23V during stress tests with Prime95, where it reports 4.2ghz but the voltage fluctuates between 1.23 and 1.27. Is this typical? And is either setting it to that voltage safe for the processor's core performance?
I'm new to overclocking, so I apologize if I'm not clear.
It's fine, and the voltage changes are typical. Perhaps adjust it to 4.3 or 4.4 with 1.25 or 1.3 (if you're feeling bold).
