Is there an issue with your keyboard preventing the PC from shutting down?
When I press the shutdown button on my PC, it shuts down completely and the screens go dark. However, the machine doesn't actually power off—it just stops running. Removing the USB-connected keyboard causes the computer to shut down normally. Someone has an explanation for this behavior.
i think i'm trying to recall something about corsair k, but i can't remember exactly what it is. it started happening during the first days of using it, more than a year ago. do i have to enter bios to update them, or should i visit the bios website? i've never updated bios since buying this pc about 3/4 years ago, just noticed you need a usb. i plan to try it soon to check if it solves the issue.
There are some K series models you can try resetting to check if it helps—yes, you can reset keyboards, though it's mainly for fixing RGB issues.
It can be challenging since I haven't managed to get it to function immediately. It's been more than a year, and I don't recall any shortcut.
When I first got the keyboard, I downloaded it to make changes but later deleted it after a day or two because I thought it was causing problems. However, after a week of using it, my PC wouldn’t turn off, so I wondered if something I pressed on the keyboard—like the M button for macros—might be the issue. I’ll check the video to see if it helps.
