Is there a problem with AIDA 64?
Is anyone else getting an error message sometimes when stopping a stability test on AIDA 64 Extreme? The computer feels fine, but that weird error pops up after the test ends and doesn't happen every time. It says: "ACCESS VIOLATION IN MODULE AIDA 64.EXE , access violation at address aida64 1efa0174" And this annoying message is all I have to do when closing AIDA via task manager on my PC specs: AOC monitor with 21", freesync, and 75hz Gigabyte b450 gaming X AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Kingston HyperX FURY DDR4 (with RGB) at 3200mhz with XMP profile 1 enabled. The rest of my gear is: an XFX RX 580 GTS XXX with 4gb, a gold 550w power supply, and three hard drives from WD (one green, one black, and one blue). I also have a Kingston A400 120GB SSD.
maybe a different place for bugs? Post any problems you might see here on these boards at aida64.com
Why did you stop the test? How is it getting stopped? Maybe just a glitch in the app's software, or maybe another program fought against it. Is something else running behind that? Try checking Reliability History and Event Viewer instead. One of those two might be catching some error, warning, or even an informational event right when the access violation happens. (Reliability History is easier to use and shows a timeline, which helps find errors and spot patterns.) Right-clicking any given error gives more details, maybe even a specific error code. But these extra bits of info might not always be helpful.
The test ends right when I press stop. Usually, just before I start this check, I run a stress test that shows RGB Fusion and MSI Afterburner in the background. I'll look into the Reliability History again if this thing comes back up later on.
