Hi,
I'm searching for a straightforward freeware tool that can compare two folders with subfolders and highlight the files that differ in names only. I've tried several options like WinMerge, FreeCommander, Total Commander, Beyond Compare, etc., but none of them met my needs without extra features or complexity. The software I've used isn't free either. Do you know of any better alternatives?
Best regards,
Rob

Confirmed. The task is to identify files present in Folder A but absent in Folder B, and vice versa, covering all files within their respective subfolders. Filenames are required.

A long time ago, Winmerge was a complimentary open-source choice for file folder comparisons.

I understand your concern. Could you clarify how to address this issue with "SynbackFree"?

Thank you for your response, but it's too complicated with the command line.

But I've already used 'winmerge' and it didn't work...
