Is the PC experiencing a crash during the OS boot process?
I have installed Windows 11 on my SSD in another PC and connected it to mine. After creating files using the Windows installer in CMD, I can run Windows 11 once it appears. However, within about 90 seconds, the PC freezes and then shows an error 0xc0000001 or a message saying the device is broken and needs fixing. All fans are working properly, but I’m unsure what to do next.
If you lack spare parts or a second compatible machine to test the hardware, you must take your PC to a repair shop and pay for diagnostics.
Does your PC come prebuilt or is it a DIY project? Did you purchase it as a fully assembled unit or did you build it yourself?
If it's prebuilt, you can reach out to the store where you bought it for customer assistance. For a DIY build, you'll need to handle troubleshooting on your own, possibly with help from a repair service.
I've done everything possible over the last few days, planning to visit a PC repair shop tomorrow morning.
Based on my observations, Tier A+ 850 Watt PSUs work best for most rigs I've assembled. I've used higher wattage units ranging from 1000 to 1500 Watts in top-tier gaming builds. Personally, a liquid cooler might help maintain CPU temperatures more effectively than an air cooler. HOWEVER, the Noctua NH D15 Air Coolers perform well. I'm puzzled as they don't seem to keep the CPU at a reasonable idle temperature—around 49°C feels a bit too high in BIOS settings. You may need to dig deeper into troubleshooting.
In my experience, as long as the CPU stays stable around 80°C or lower during load, especially in gaming, there shouldn't be major problems. The CPU can tolerate higher temperatures, but running it constantly under heavy load will hurt stability and lifespan over time. I've slightly underclocked and undervolted my rigs (GPUs and CPUs) to keep them stable with auto-overclocking, avoiding any issues.
These are just my insights from building gaming PCs. I hope you find the problems resolved so you can enjoy your system again. Cheers from a classic PC builder and avid gamer.
