Play your games at lower settings but keep the visuals simple. This helps the graphics card perform better. An increase in FPS suggests your CPU can handle a higher graphics setup. If the FPS remains unchanged, you're likely CPU-bound.

Yes so the reason you need a better one:

a Tier A 850w unit will give you the flexibility to choose a more powerful gpu without roasting the pwr supply and maybe damaging the mobo and components when (not if) [a weaker poor quality] power supply fails and zaps the vrms, cpu, ram and maybe disks and probably the GPU.
Free world you may resist if you like but if you also like a working pc, it may be disappointing.
While from what I've heard around here for a 3080 a 1k or 1.2k psu is preferred because it's particularly transient prone and also the xx90 series is 600w tdp so also similarly needs a good quality (tier A) and high wattage 1k-1.2k power supply for comfortable operational safety margins.
850w should be sufficient for most else and on the amd side. Don't try and run a new gpu on a weak power supply.
The wattage specification applies only to ATX 2.x power supplies. Modern ATX 3.x models can handle twice the rated capacity during brief power spikes. Therefore, for an ATX 2.x PSU to support a 1kW-1.2kW load with an RTX 3080 (320W), an ATX 3.x PSU would be more suitable at 750W-850W.
Based on the updates I receive, I plan to switch my PSU to MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5. I still want to keep the three monitors (ASUS 24" VG248Q). My previous concern was whether a RX7600 would be a significant upgrade or if I should focus on CPU improvements first.
