In short, I got a 6 out of 360 as my first AlO cooler and was really looking forward to using it. After installing it with the case flat on the floor, I did a quick check and it was fine, better than my old air cooler but not much more. Once everything was working, I put the case up to connect all the cables and tried again. I was sure the pump was running strong, but then I noticed the temperature kept rising in the BIOS. That indicated a problem with the cold plate mounting and pressure. I replaced the thermal paste and tightened all the bolts carefully. The same issue came back when I lay the case down and stood it up again. Anyone have had similar experiences? Thanks ahead!
I'm using antec C8 with a top-mounted radiator. I attempted to shake and reinstall, but it didn't work.
It seems the installation looks correct, so I recommend inspecting the tubes for any heating. There might be an issue with air bubbles entering the pump, which could cause unusual sounds. Usually, if this happened, temperatures would be slightly elevated but not continue rising.
When one tube is hot, the liquid flow becomes improper, which is likely why you're experiencing this issue. It's difficult to pinpoint the exact cause because the system worked fine when it was on its side.
Absolutely, the only thing that comes to mind is there might be an issue with the fluid, perhaps not enough of it. For instance, if I had it lean forward, the pump at the front of the case could somehow function for a short time before stopping. Now I have to rely on the 5-year-old air cooler instead.
