39C on Windows, staying under 52C with Valorant Max settings at 2K 600fps
Try without those cable extensions.
See if it makes any difference.
Generally there shouldn't be any difference.
Unless you have them improperly connected or cables/connectors are of low quality.
And 600FPS doesn't seem like anything reasonable. Try limiting fps to acceptable values.
What monitor are you using?
Memtest64 might be more suitable, you could also attempt running the RAM at standard speed with XMP turned off. I've experienced instability in games when the speed was too high. If your system remained stable since last October until you added a new GPU, it's unlikely there are memory problems.
How many sticks do you have, what is their speed and which slots are they installed in?
uncommon yet possible causes include issues from the PCIe slot or power cables. i would treat it as a final option after checking other causes.
