Do remember that these chips are also very thermally resistive, so while they may be running at 80C, they're only outputting 50-60W of heat, not really heating up the loop at all. Still, if that's what you're worried about, look into undervolting those chips.

It isn't set by default. AMD offers two similar approaches: Precision Boost and Precision Boost Overdrive. The former is the standard Ryzen enhancement that activates automatically, adjusting speeds up to 1000 times per second based on various conditions like load, temperature, and power caps. The latter is a manual method for pushing performance further while still leveraging Ryzen's advanced boosting system. Essentially, PBO lets you customize how the boost works—adjusting limits or removing them entirely. For instance, with a 65W TDP CPU, the stock PBO restricts PPT to 88W, TDC to 60A, and EDC to 90A. On the 5600G, it caps clocks at 4450MHz (about 4.4GHz max boost). I increased these numbers to PPT 100W, TDC 90A, EDC 140A, using a curve optimizer to undervolt each core for better efficiency and stability. The algorithm also adjusts voltage per core, balancing power use and performance risk. These settings vary by model; you can start with modest offsets like -10 on all cores, but pushing too far may cause crashes. PBO simplifies tuning, though it caps overclocking at +200.
I'm using OCCT (free for personal use, not my software). From the top left menu, choose "Test" then pick CPU in the bottom left section. Select "Large", "Extreme", or "Variable" for settings. Set Threads to Advanced and follow the instructions in the popup. This will launch a single stress test on core 0, cycling the core every 5 seconds.
