12 pages, the remaining sections are identical but presented in various languages. It’s not unexpected; we don’t have complete freedom over the music, films, games, and other content we purchase.

Intellectual property law can be quite complex, isn't it? It raises interesting questions about how things like GOG games or Linux distributions are treated legally. I used to think the law clearly favored the individual owner, but now I see more nuanced rules at play. Keep learning—your curiosity is great!

This applies when you purchase a legitimate copy instead of using pirated material.

That’s unclear to me—OSX can be downloaded for free on a legitimate Mac, even though you’ve already spent a lot of money on it.

Copyright rules differ worldwide, and each product’s usage terms are unique. Usually sharing even free items is restricted, which isn’t surprising because accessing downloads from unofficial sites can be risky. This reflects the nature of capitalism—profit drives everything. I question whether Apple truly values Hackintosh; it doesn’t seem to be a significant loss for them, but weak licensing could harm them. LMG must step in, and GOG is supportive.

The only programs you can genuinely possess are those with licensing agreements that include a copy permission clause, such as GPL. I'm not sure how often this has been discussed. When you purchase software, you're acquiring a license or ticket to use it according to the terms set by the copyright owner. Just the copyright holder retains ownership of the software.
