When the community manager highlights "friendship" as the key endgame, things become quite challenging. Honestly, the game itself isn't particularly engaging on its own, but it relies heavily on clan activities and lacks many features. You might finish the campaign quickly in the afternoon, yet the overall experience could feel limited over a few weeks.

Warframe is available at no cost and offers significantly more material.

It's a poor imitation of Borderlands 2. Opt for the original instead.

I second this. Destiny is fun to play with friends, but if you play solo, you will run out of content quickly. The combat is very competent, but there is not that much to do. You can clear the game in a weekend (including the raid) if you try hard enough. Borderlands 2 has much more content and is very well written.

The game becomes enjoyable only when played with friends; otherwise it feels like a poor experience. While everyone enjoys it together, even simple moments like drying paint are fun. If you're curious about why Destiny 2 can be seen as a downside, check out this video.
