My apologies ahead of time if this is a somewhat useless (or over-visited) topic, I just feel incredibly conflicted buying MGSV. On one hand, it's Hideo Kojima's last piece of work before leaving Konami, I doubt I will ever buy a Konami product after this. On the other hand, I'm a big fan of the series and so of course I'm going to try it. What are people's thoughts? Last MGS worth playing? Counting down the hours? Has it been released anywhere yet? (I think I can download it at 10 PM tonight).

I've never purchased a new Konami title. I mostly found MGS2 on used PS2 systems. I don’t think it bothers me much, though if I cared... Perhaps because their operations in Japan aren’t ideal.

do you think it's wrong to give developers funds so their kids can survive? if they lacked money, they might die from starvation. the developer could suffer depression and possibly take their own life. later, news outlets like CNN would report this as a solution, but schools might adjust their policies instead. the end.

We don’t fully understand the Konami/Hideo connection, so I can’t hold anyone responsible—just buy and play the game.

I'll hand them cash when the game performs well. I won't preorder or buy Day 1 until I'm confident it's worth it.

If I truly valued a Konami title, I wouldn’t mind paying them any price... As long as it’s worth what I’m willing to spend, I’ll take it. I don’t really think about how they’ll use my money afterward. Still, I don’t care about the company either. The last time I played one of their games was probably years back, before Yu-Gi-Oh became popular.
