I've checked some bottleneck calculators, but I'm not sure if they're trustworthy. They claim your Ryzen 5 3550H paired with a GTX 1650 is a poor combination. Is this really a problem? Should you switch your CPU?

But honestly, it's hard to tell if your PC is underperforming or running at its best without knowing the right details. I'm not sure if your CPU and GPU combination is ideal from my viewpoint.

Ryzen 5 3550H is a mobile CPU built into a laptop (soldered onto the motherboard). You cannot modify it.
However, generally speaking, bottleneck calculators are unreliable.
The bottleneck changes based on the graphics settings selected.
At 4k resolution you'll always face GPU limitations, while at ultra-low resolutions you'll be constrained by the CPU.
You need to discover the best settings for your specific hardware.

I keep the resolution at 1920x1080, which is 1080P, and I don't want to play on 720P because it's really low quality.

Of course, your concern about modifying the CPU or GPU is irrelevant.
You won't be able to do that with a laptop.

There is no such concept as "bottlenecking." If upgrading a CPU or graphics card somehow reduces your performance or FPS, a more accurate term would be a limiting factor. This happens when adding more CPU or GPU becomes less effective. It's irrelevant for most laptops since they usually can't be upgraded. To find out if your CPU or GPU is the issue, run your games at lower resolutions and reduce visual effects. This can help the graphics card perform better. If your FPS improves, it suggests your CPU is powerful enough for a better graphics setup. If your FPS remains unchanged, you're likely CPU-limited.

Sure, thank you for the correction. Also, geographically, it's nice to see you back in the community. I noticed you answered a question I posed in early 2019.

Do you think you have the right abilities and gear for bga reballing?
