You should inspect now. It is possible that when you installed your CPU, you could have damaged something.
Before doing that, run memtest.

Adrenaline also works well for me. A lot of settings can be fine-tuned even on my peasant rx 570 with 8 GB VRAM. The OSD provides excellent monitoring of the system too. It might just be a leftover memory from those CCC days, but that classic idea keeps popping up about 20 years later.
