Hey, your fiber setup looks good with solid downloads around 500 Mbps and uploads in the 32-50 Mbps range. Your phone shows decent speeds too, but your desktop is having trouble. It’s averaging 550 Mbps download but only 32-50 Mbps upload. You’ve checked both Wi-Fi and wired connections. The Cox tech couldn’t pinpoint the problem. Need some guidance on troubleshooting steps?
We can identify the motherboard and Wi-Fi adapter used by the affected computer.
It's fine. Go to the page for your exact motherboard and find the drivers for both. Download and install them. There is no "ruining" it, it's software - worst case scenario, you can wipe and reinstall Windows. I have never across maybe a thousand computers i've set up had basic driver installation mash the OS.
Thank you for your feedback. It seems the drivers for this motherboard aren't available. The only Z motherboard drivers listed on Asrock's site are for Z790 boards. It appears they may no longer offer support after a few years.
