The developers highly value every commitment. Fresh visuals are added, a subtle purple glow captures the planet's atmospheric light, a Mars-like surface with a less dense red atmosphere appears, and a space-themed image is included for the desktop. Perfect for in-game backgrounds from I-Novae: Engine - Pure Digital Art.
Star Citizen is supporting the Infinity Battlescape Kickstarter. Here’s the link: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-...attlescape. As Chris Roberts said, it’s a great opportunity.
I recall this from somewhere. Uncertain about backing another space simulation, but I'll stay aware.
The layout and conditions of our solar system remain largely uncharted, but several concepts are being considered for exploration. One idea involves placing the game within a binary star system, where multiple planets revolve around both stars. Technically challenging, this scenario demands handling numerous bright light sources—adding complexity through dynamic lighting and shadow effects. I find this concept visually intriguing and plan to test it out. We’ve already established planet types for integration, such as rocky worlds, moons, and gas giants, but we’re also aiming for more unusual settings that could enhance gameplay and combat: an icy world with massive crystals, a volcanic or dusty planet with erupting lava, an ocean planet dotted with islands, a comet carrying a tail and micro-meteoroids, solar flares forcing night-side hiding near the star, colossal storms and lightning in gas giants, a radioactive moon requiring constant shielding, a desert planet with shifting dunes and aggressive creatures, floating organic lifeforms like balloon-like beings that explode on contact, tornadoes, and many other possibilities. If you have suggestions that don’t need new visuals, feel free to share them on the Kickstarter page link. Remember, these ideas are still part of our creative vision and may not all be realized due to funding limits and budget constraints. Different planets will have unique atmospheric traits—some moons might lack any atmosphere, while larger planets could possess denser air. Wind patterns will affect navigation, especially if we aim for cloud layers or storm systems. Environmental dangers will multiply the variety of challenges, with each location offering a fresh battle scenario as we develop our game.
