If it were the cable, why does it work without borders or windows? It doesn’t make sense to think it’s limited to that setup—it should function anywhere. The same cable is being used on my friend’s Samsung QE85QN800C. It’s not just any cable...

Borderless/Windowed adapts to your monitor's resolution and refresh settings. Are you confirming it functions smoothly at 175 Hz with 10 bpc? When switching to full screen, the game adjusts to whatever refresh rate you choose. Clarify if desktop operates at 60 Hz or uses a lower color depth in full screen mode.

In my previous discussions I never referenced 3440x1440 at 60hz, because the core problem lies in the aspect ratio, not refresh rate, artifacts, or anything else. The issue only appears with an HDMI connection when fullscreen apps are running. After checking more closely, I realized NVCP displays the connection as HDMI-HDTV, even though I'm using a 21:9 PC display—not a TV. Even when DSR is off, I can select 4K resolution in both NVCP and Windows. It seems both applications and NVIDIA are treating it as a TV, which might explain why they force a 16:9 output. To clarify, the HDMI 2.1 setting was configured for PC, matching the image shown. The drivers are installed and the cables support full 2.1 speeds on compatible devices.
