Additionally, you might consider placing them in those containers and applying thermal tape for extra protection.

You don’t need a heat sink. Just position a fan directly on them—they’ll stay cool perfectly. SOC voltage is on the die and the memory controller, while the iGPU manages its own vcore. Even with overclocking, you’re not pushing the VRMs too hard, so they shouldn’t throttle much. The board will likely hold up until it reaches around 110°C.

In fact, when increasing the iGPU speed, the VRM MOS reaches 120°C and the board crashes. I'm doing this mainly because I need this functionality.

Consensus reached, though I believe lower-end boards slow down more at cooler temperatures. Noted—my B350 board was showing 90°C throttling.
