Unable to start in Safe mode with the 5900X. Now experiencing a new issue, I returned to the 3900X and noticed significant mouse movement stuttering—frames dropping to around 25fps. CPU usage peaks at roughly 25%, which seems typical, and this hasn’t happened before. Under load, the processor reaches about 48°C, but clock speeds appear normal. A memory diagnostic is currently running. Should I reinstall Windows?
Check for bent pins on the CPU and any residue in the MBO socket. Could be an MBO issue. Was the 5900X bought new or secondhand? Warranty coverage applies.
No bent pins, no paste the socket. I doubt mobo is faulty as I've used it for the last 3 1/2 years and had no troubles with it. CPU was bought new, I have a replacement on the way from Amazon. Dropped it off at my job to be looked at to verify defective cpu or software issue, it'll be a couple days before I can get into it again
