Upgraded to a 5900X this evening. After installation, my PC immediately triggered a BSOD during the machine check exception, then moved to an uncorrectable error in WHEA. I attempted to run without XMP and directly into WHEA. The CPU was re-seated twice, and after a brief Windows boot (about 30 seconds), it BSODed again upon logging in. Now it’s stuck in a continuous BSOD loop. I searched extensively online but found no solution. I’m using the latest stable BIOS version and have cleared the CMOS. The CPU is idling at 41°C according to the BIOS, but I can’t access the OS or dump files. Safe mode doesn’t help either. Is this CPU faulty? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
