Adjust the power setting to 90-80-70% and observe its impact on your FPS. The temperature threshold remains unchanged.

re-installing Windows is even better than using DDU, so no need to do that again It still doesn't make sense how 20 numbers higher card gets less fps, there's a reason I want them to try lower power draw setting, if you look at specs you'll see why.
I needed to upgrade the system from DDR3 to 4 to take advantage of the GTX 980 back then. The performance was roughly the same as with my DDR3 setup on a GTX 580 compared to the 980, especially since I had two of each. SLI, new CPU, and upgraded board made a big difference.

The stats and meltdown virus might be overshadowing the 580. I faced many issues with that card... and it wasn't the case for the 560. Updated on Jan 25, 2025 by thrasher_565
