Impressive, really! Ubisoft is definitely making a big impact.

Ubisoft attempted to increase the frame rate to 30 fps during the closed beta of The Crew, but the response was overwhelmingly negative. Many players sought alternatives, even altering game files themselves. Ubisoft confirmed they would not maintain the cap, though this was not a guaranteed commitment.
Notice the issue is you placed a pre-order on Assassins Creed, which tends to struggle with optimization.
AC: I didn’t think Unity would be the first to notice the British-accented English in their French characters during the French Revolution. I’d have expected Quebec developers to pay more attention. The gameplay feels so repetitive that it makes me doubt how engaging or believable this setting can be.
The recommended spec should focus on meeting the 1080p 60fps requirement. The baseline involves reducing settings, cutting resolution, and aiming for a steady 30fps to play comfortably. Claiming a 7970 of 680 is unrealistic—it’s about 300% more power than a PS4 GPU.
You placed a pre-order on an Ubi title and expected more dedication from the developers when they clearly lack effort in their console releases. At 900p with 30fps, you're questioning whether it's worth it. Ubisoft, can we stop supporting them? We should push them out of the PC market or demand better. Console players settle for mediocrity because they've never experienced anything better. We understand what gaming should be, yet we still back subpar experiences.
I notice your reluctance is puzzling. Your honesty is appreciated. Great news—your system should handle the game smoothly. You've already placed the order before you even tried it? That's odd, since preordering can be tricky. Don't worry about stock limits; just enjoy the experience.
The focus was on how they don’t really optimize their games compared to others, suggesting the minimum might be lower than what’s commonly assumed. You’re correct that 60 frames per second isn’t necessarily the absolute baseline.
Well, Black Flag performed okay. I managed to play at 1080p with 60 frames per second using a Phenom II X4 965, GTX 470 and 4GB RAM on medium settings while recording. On the flip side, Watch_Dogs ran less smoothly. From what Ubisoft demonstrated, AC U seems similar to BF, possibly even using the same engine. That explains why those requirements are so high.
Compared to this AC Unity BS and everything else they're pushing with Far Cry 4, I'm pretty finished with Ubisoft. It's not great—I really enjoyed Far Cry 3 and Black Flag. Now these new titles would need to be incredibly impressive for me to think about buying them.
