Do you receive the drivers from Nvidia or directly from the maker? You should obtain them from the seller you purchased from.

From Nvidia, I also purchased it second-hand—it comes with no branding since it’s a GTX 690.

I finally figured it out... I reinstalled Windows and used the NVIDIA driver from the Windows update. It’s not the newest version, but that’s fine. Since I don’t play games released after 2016, it should work just fine. No need for "game ready" drivers.
