I might replace the chip, and the 8700K on my average Z370 PC Pro could move to the Z370i Pro Carbon to test which is superior. Silicon luck is a thing.

My 8700k operates smoothly at 5 ghz across all cores with a 1.33v boost. It features a copper IHS and Thermal Grizzly liquid metal cooling. I use Arctic Silver 7 between the IHS and Cryorig H7. The seller I purchased it from struggled to hit 4.9 ghz at 1.33v, and he was also let down when it couldn’t reach 5ghz all core at 1.2v. I’ve owned it for a few years now and consider it the top performer beside my 12400. The verdict on the 12400 is still pending. I haven’t had time to test both yet.

Delid assists with voltage regulation; the cooler it operates, the lower the voltage required. Mine needed 1.33v at llc 6 after using Delid Delid also reduces temperatures by around 25°C. If you're in the UK, I can share the Delid tool with you as long as you return it.
