For some reason when I play Battlefield 1 (not 5), I only see 80-90 fps on 1080p. I know it's not a 1080p card. My specs are: i7 7700k 4.8 OC, 2080 TI 140/1000 OC, 32 gigs of RAM at 2133mhz. I should be getting higher fps, but I've checked the settings in the Nvidia control panel. I'm really confused about why I get such low fps compared to people who have 150+ when they see those numbers.

MSI afterburner or similar tools can be used to monitor CPU, GPU, and RAM utilization. The bottlekneck is located at the base of the bottle.

Sounds like CPU bottleneck, check CPU ussage. Also set power managment mode to "prefer Maximum performance" in Nvidia control panel

I don't recall if your CPU is at 100% and it might be causing a bottleneck. Check your task manager—your CPU usage is around 90-95% while the GPU is at 50%.

yes, anything above 90% generally signals a bottleneck

Well then it seems like you're causing a bottleneck, huh?

I'm assuming this is multiplayer? Battlefield MP is notorious for bringing CPUs to their knees

You're 100% right, I'm guessing a few more cores would help a lot.

Absolutely, I switched from a 4-core i5 to a 6-core i7 and noticed a significant boost in FPS.

Hope your concern is right, what would you suggest if you decided to go all in with a Ryzen 3900X? I know it might be too much, but sure. Also thanks for your patience and help.
