Np, that would definitely assist. If you're running at 144 or 240hz, the 9900k performs slightly better, but the 3900X shines more if you're handling other tasks. In the meantime, increase the graphics settings and enable super sampling. You should be able to appreciate some visual flair. Are you experiencing any stuttering?

I would consider the Intel 9900k or the rumored 10900k (10c 20t), arriving in the next six months. It offers about 20% improved performance in high FPS situations.
