i7 6700k fails to run stably on default configurations following the overclock process.
before i increased the overclock of my i7 6700k to 4.5ghz @1,260 Voltage
after some weeks a blue screen appeared from watchdog timeout
then i switched it back to the stock configuration
now the i7 6700k is unstable even at stock settings (after overclocking)
my pc specs:
cpu: i7 6700k
mobo: asus z170 a
cooler: cryorig h7
ram: hyperx 2133mhz 8x2gb
gpu: asus gtx 780 ref
psu: corsair vs550
ssd: 2pcs samsung 840pro (126 and 256gb)
hdds: 1pc 500gb seagate
could you help me?
ramdom blue screen timeout!
i attempted to install a new os, changed thermal phase, removed cmos and waited 5 minutes
still nothing, the pc remains unstable at stock settings!

Have you tried memtest86+?
A bad ram stick might also be the reason for those issues.
not yet
🙁
I don't know how to run memtest86+
What modifications did you make to fix it??
Check this link: http://www.memtest.org/
You can download the program to a USB or burn it onto a CD/DVD.
After installation, boot from the device and it should start. It runs with its own OS, not Windows.
A great tool to verify your build before installing Windows.
Did you just quickly set the CPU to 2.5ghz with a 2.6v voltage?
1,260 Voltage error occurred!
I overclocked my i7 6700k to 4.5ghz at 1,260 Voltage.
After a few weeks, the computer displayed a blue screen and timeout.
Then I switched it back to the stock setting.
Now the i7 6700k isn’t stable with the stock configuration (post-overclock).
I hope the CPU voltage is correct. If you cleared the CMOS, please do so.
Ensure your block is adjusted to the standard configuration again along with any other tweaks you made. What are the current temperatures? If you remain unresolved, consider underclocking (e.g., running at 4.0ghz with a 1.2vcore) and observe if it improves, then gradually increase the settings.
Ensure your block is adjusted to the standard settings as well. What are the temperatures? If you're still having issues, consider underclocking it (for example, running at 4.0ghz with a 1.2vcore) and check if that resolves the problem before increasing the clock.
It might be wise to keep things as they are if you wish to maintain the discussion. Your temperatures and vcore appear normal. Check for any motherboard BIOS updates that could resolve stability problems. Avoid updating the BIOS without solid reasons. In the BIOS settings, be mindful of your default choices. Occasionally, "optimized" settings can lead to overclocking. Consider running memtest86+; it might reveal a memory issue. You should be able to run several full passes without errors. A CPU failure is uncommon, but it can happen occasionally. If nothing else works, return the product and note that Intel offers a 3-year warranty.
Fixed the best answer. The temperatures are excessively high. 74C at stock speeds with a Cryorig H7? My 6700K at 4.6Ghz and 1.35v won't exceed 70C on a single core without performing Prime Small FFTs and an Intel Burn Test simultaneously. My Phanteks cooler is better but not much more so. You confirmed the CMOS? By using the jumper or by taking out the motherboard battery while the board is unplugged?
