Your thoughts: The 8600k isn't limiting your 1070ti. I'm using a 1700x and GTX1080, and my CPU isn't causing any slowdowns. Just close or remove unused programs—game booster doesn't work. If you're okay with it, overclock your CPU. Since you got an unlocked CPU, make sure you use it; otherwise, you've wasted money. At idle, aim for 1-10% CPU usage unless something's wrong with Chrome, Rainmeter, Word, Excel, or Task Manager (I'm getting about 3%). Running MalwareByte or RogueKiller might help—even a fresh Windows install can catch malware quickly. Why does "Desktop Window Manager" take up 10%? I don't see that process running on my PC. I attempted to download from the site, but the installer confirmed I already had the newest version and suggested a downgrade.
