I5-2400 vs Ryzen 3 3200G
I’m looking to repurpose my HHD, SSD, PSU (300W, unsure if I need to adjust it), GPU (GTX1050TI). My screen is currently 1440 x 900 with just one VGA port and no other options. My budget ranges from 6 million to 8.5 million VND, and I’m based in Vietnam.
Well, honestly I’m not sure where to look for prices in Vietnam online, so here are a few pointers (sorry). Lower resolution means more strain on the CPU, less on the GPU; higher resolution means less on the CPU, more on the GPU. If you switch to a full HD monitor (1920x1080), your CPU won’t be the main limiting factor anymore, but the GPU will start affecting your frame rate. So prioritize upgrading your monitor first if you want better performance. The PSU is on the lower side here—there’s limited room to tweak components without replacing the whole unit. You can estimate your PC’s power needs with a PSU calculator like this one. If you just want a slight improvement, start with an FHD monitor and HDMI, then consider the GPU. If you need a CPU upgrade, a Ryzen 1600 AF with an affordable motherboard could work. Alternatively, look for a used i7 that fits your current board for cheaper options online.
