I selected Linux with Ubuntu as my choice. I also run Vista on the same machine, but I tend to opt for Ubuntu whenever I can (for clear reasons!)

You're evaluating different Linux distributions for your devices. Your main rig runs Windows 7 and Fedora 18, while your laptop is currently Fedora 18-only. You're thinking about switching your laptop to Arch-based systems and exploring ArchBang and CrunchBang—those are community-driven repositories that might offer alternatives or additional options.

Running Windows 7 on both your desktop and laptop, with a future goal to transition to Arch Linux or set up dual-booting for gaming purposes. Many titles function smoothly on Linux via Steam or PlayOnLinux.

Initially I was cautious about Windows 8 but after testing the final retail release outside a virtual environment I really enjoyed it and decided to keep using it. It was also quite affordable at around $20 then, thanks to a discount for early adopters of Windows 7.
