Hey everyone, my PC setup includes an i3-12th Gen processor, a single stick of 3600 MHZ RAM, and an RX 570 4GB graphics card. I frequently experience stuttering during DCS multiplayer and sometimes the game freezes completely, which is really frustrating. When the game crashes, the GPU usage drops to zero. I'm trying to understand what might be causing this issue.
Checking the CPU utilization, RAM requirements, PSU brand and model, and the SSD details.
One stick of RAM, regardless of speed, halves the CPU's bandwidth, often causing severe stuttering. Additionally, the power supply might fail based on its age.
I would also consider adding another stick of RAM and swapping the PSU for a solid one from a well-known brand to determine if that resolves the issue.
Is this a fresh installation? Please specify the exact CPU model you're using. Stutters might occur if the CPU isn't delivering the frames required by the GPU. RAM modules sold together in the same package usually function properly, but adding an extra stick doesn't always ensure optimal performance when dual-channel operation is active at the advertised speed.
It doesn't stutter in any other game. Only in DCS, and it stutters quite a bit, sometimes even in "son of the forest"
