Most sites other than satellite say your location isn’t identified, so you’re missing a connection. The distance seems reasonable—think about being within about 3 miles.

You can obtain 4G service from mobile network providers or through compatible devices that support it.

You can obtain 4G for residential use, which is decent compared to satellite. Check for a local provider in your region—they likely offer coverage similar to yours. Alternatively, consider installing your own fiber connection.

You’d need to check reviews or contact the seller to confirm the item’s origin. Running your own line could let you control quality and pricing, but it also adds complexity and risk.

My primary concern was just how near you are to your home! Is it possible for the house to be within two and a half miles?

Search for Google Wi-Fi nearby, fast wireless connections available. Have you contacted local ISPs? Usually extra costs apply for installing cables at home. Websites aren’t reliable; you often need to arrange a more complex setup. Distance from the city isn’t crucial—weather or not, an ISP usually has coverage already.

Wisp internet seems quite disappointing compared to satellite options. The speed feels similar to what you'd expect from satellite, yet the connection isn't reliable. It's frustrating to find that DSL providers don't work well on their websites either.

Imagine if your home had been standing for four decades and you hadn’t touched a phone line in seven years. Wouldn’t that make the cable feel old and unable to handle modern speeds? And what kind of streaming or file sharing would fit that setup?
