Metro 2033/LL is an excellent show. It's one of my top picks. I disliked the story in Titanfall2, but that's just my view.

It's really tough being alone on this since Titanfall2 SP is widely regarded as the best first person shooter of the decade.
It stands out far above all the sci-fi Call of Duty titles, with its story, interactions, motion, and controls feeling flawless and incredible—definitely one of the most enjoyable games I've ever played.
I'm even surprised someone would bother saying it's "bad," because this is the first time I've heard anyone criticize it in all these years since its release; every mention has been positive about how great it is.

I lost interest in COD after they began adding jet fighters... It's really overwhelming, like a normal person walking up to a fighter jet and trying to dodge missiles while chasing hot dogs. Is the updated version better?

What are your opinions on Warhammer Total War? I was eager to try it, but my laptop couldn’t handle it well!

I'd be happy to support that point, and I think I'd place DOOM right beside it on the podium. I don't really believe the Titanfall 2 narrative holds up well against how effectively DOOM's lore was reimagined. Titanfall 2 shows all the key aspects of strong storytelling, though the actual story is just average. Unfortunately, I haven't played it myself.

But then once more it's challenging to wrap everything up in one package, as the games that shine in storytelling often fall short elsewhere.
I just played A Plague Tale: Innocence and it's really great for storytelling, but I still think Titanfall2 is better in that regard.
Cheers!

I haven't played Warhammer, but I've tried Rome II Total War, which is a solid test for your CPU. You probably want your GPU to work hard too. Yeah, the new CoD game is pretty tough on the GPU, but if you're just checking what your GPU can do, Cities: Skylines would be a good alternative. Keeping frames at 144 could be challenging, so older games might still run smoothly without issues.

Monster Hunter will give your system a solid challenge, especially with the high resolution texture pack... I wasn’t expecting to play it, but I was interested in seeing how my PC would handle it. This summer I bought it during a sale and have spent over 1200 hours on it, mostly not playing anything else now.

I think you're searching for something like on the list I will present below.
Bear in mind I haven't played any of those. For some yet, for others not really.
I leave real opinions to people who actually tried those titles, hopefully some will give you their insight.
Anyway, here goes:
The Witcher 3
Metro: Exodus
GTA V
Rise/Shadow of the Tomb Raider (winter raider vs jungle raider)
Battlefield V
Assasins Creed: Odyssey
Destiny 2
Red Dead Redemption 2
Dishonored 2
Shadow of the Colossus
