After enduring seven years of gaming on work laptops at low/medium settings (Money has progressed to more mature content) with around 30-40 FPS, I have finally returned to PCMR and upgraded my rig (3600 Ryzen, 16B Corsair 3200, Radeon 5700, M.2 SSD, 144Hz Asus monitor). I’m eager for recommendations on modern games that would fully showcase the graphics, gameplay, and action with this setup. Current titles I’m enjoying include The Outer Worlds, Rust. Looking forward to your suggestions. Thanks in advance!

BeamNG.drive offers a lot of enjoyment, particularly with a CPU that has many cores, allowing for the creation of numerous AI traffic sources.

I enjoy seeing the games from past years because they are excellent choices.

If you received the Xbox Game Pass offer with your new Ryzen or RX 5700, I highly suggest trying Forza Horizon 4. Also, the Halo Master Chief Collection is now available today. Both titles are free to play with the Game Pass, and you can purchase them for a discounted price using the same pass.

I also recommend heavily modding New Vegas and GTA V using texture mods and ENB tools. If you haven’t played DOOM 2016, you should definitely check it out as well—it’s currently on sale on Steam.

Dead Space received positive feedback, but it's quite old. I aimed to test the GPU a bit.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare - What's the latest update?
Halo MCC - Never tried Halo, looks promising.
Supreme Commander FA - Not familiar with this one, will look into it.
Half Life 2 - Played it numerous times.
GTA V - Really enjoyed it and finished it.
Crysis - A timeless classic.
Skyrim SE - Is this the updated version?

i really enjoy the smaller, more detailed aspects of games, which i refer to as micro-management titles. some of my favorites include cities skylines (a spiritual successor to sim city), factorio, satisfactory, prsion architect, planet coaster (a spiritual successor to rollercoaster tycoon), and other pc games you might want to check out. you could also grab a copy of gta v since it’s usually affordable under £15 nowadays. if you’re interested in modding, consider skyrim or fallout 4 for a unique way to revisit those experiences.

Far Cry 4 sets a strong foundation with its impressive graphical and control advancements, and I enjoyed playing it. It feels similar to Team Fortress 2 in that regard. If you're seeking a compelling single-player narrative experience, Team Fortress 2 (Titanfall2) is an excellent choice.
