I just assembled a new computer but I don’t have an intern.
Building my new PC just finished, I needed a USB stick for Windows 11 downloads. Connecting my Ethernet cable didn’t work, tried another cable but still no internet. Checked with an older PC using the same setup and it functioned properly. Spent three hours searching online, downloaded manufacturer’s drivers for Intel and ASUS, but nothing helped. Tried running CMD as administrator with the network service command, but no results. Ran a DNS flush, yet internet remains unavailable over Ethernet. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks in advance!
What equipment do you possess? Obtain and set up the LAN driver package from your motherboard's assistance site.
You need chipset drivers for network cards to function. It doesn't happen all the time, but usually does.
I added an Intel driver and downloaded one from ASUS, for an ASUS Z790 A Wi-Fi motherboard.
Visit the official site for your PC, not just Intel's. The top result is a LAN driver page. Next is Wifi information. https://www.asus.com/motherboards-compon...790-A-WIFI
I completed this task by visiting the Asus website to set up the drives.
