I have a strong desire to enhance myself!
It's back to the usual season, and everyone seems eager to upgrade. Should you consider it? With AMD now leading the charge after recent developments, would switching from Intel be wise? Right now I'm using an i7 6700K and the Ryzen 3800X seems like a solid upgrade, offering more cores and threads.
Upgrade later and hold off for a few months since the Ryzen fourth gen will arrive in January. However, if you're pressed for time, opt for the R7 3700X or 3800X. The 3800X tends to overheat more, consumes more power, and likely performs better at overclocking compared to the 3700X.
Get the 3700x version right away. You don’t need the 3800x unless you’re targeting higher resolutions. For gaming at higher settings, the 3600 should work fine if you’re on a mobile device or another platform. These desktop models are typically released in the summer.
It seems they're likely just making an announcement rather than a full release, and probably won't launch anytime soon—maybe not until next summer or possibly in the third to fourth quarter.
I experienced that sensation and unknowingly purchased a $1000 monitor, saving $200 since I required a 240Hz 1440p TN display.
Unless you mean mobile, and considering we're discussing a desktop, that's not accurate. There are no relevant pointers for that scenario.
