Hello, Each time I attempt to stream using my PC, it suddenly loses the connection. It’s not just occasional; the whole system disconnects and restarts itself within seconds after stopping. Sometimes a full reboot is needed for it to reconnect, but it doesn’t prompt for anything. Occasionally it happens instantly, other times it can take up to five minutes. I’m unsure how to resolve this. I’ve tested various cables, but the issue persists. I’ve been checking Google for about 15 minutes without any disconnections so far, yet whenever I start streaming with Obs, it goes dark. The video link is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qmjhtn7Kvr8. Recording appears normal; I don’t lose connection even though the same data rate is sent over Ethernet. The only variation is using 4mbps instead of the default speed.

Have you checked if the issue lies with the internet service or the router directly?

Apologies for the delayed response. I assumed my email alerts were active but they weren’t. How long should I wait before checking my router? It’s been about two minutes and the connection remains stable. I still lose the link while attempting to stream with OBS-NDI. +++ What is unexpected is that nothing occurs until I press the streaming start button. I can transfer between computers freely, but once I hit that button, performance exceeds 200Mbps without issues.

I'm having the same problem for over two months now. I've changed the Ethernet cable, switched the PCIE port, and even reset Windows, but it still doesn't work. Need quick assistance!

You're asking for detailed technical information about your system setup. Here’s a concise breakdown of what to provide:

- CPU model and specifications
- Current internet speed (measured externally)
- Router details
- List of connected devices and their activities

This will help identify any potential performance issues or compatibility concerns.

I7 4700HQ notebook features include a 50 down / 5 up setup. I’m using one modem/router and an access point. AP speed is capped at 15/1 Mbps. Two devices are connected via the AP to avoid ping problems. The router runs Netmaster CBW-383ZN. Streaming Fortnite directly from the notebook felt unusual; it seemed to transmit around 2000–2500 bits per second, whereas it should have reached 3800–4000.

You cannot transmit 3800-4000 outbound when your connection is only 5Mbps. There are numerous variables affecting this. Every device that gets data also sends some back. With multiple devices on your network, they will consume bandwidth. Also, your upload speed isn’t constant at 5Mbps—it fluctuates throughout the day. This means you’re using more internet than you have available.

Download WinMTR, execute a test on google.com, begin streaming via OBS, continue for a few minutes after the issue appears, then halt the stream and share the findings regarding traffic drops.
