I encounter strange issues linked to RAM.
Hey there, I’m still dealing with those RAM issues. All my RAM seems brand new, recently replaced, and I’ve checked it thoroughly—still no clear answer. Thanks for any help you can offer!
Details about RAM, motherboard, CPU, and any problems you're facing.
PNY 32gb 2666mhz, MSI Z590 Tomahawk, i9 10900k. The previous crash involved memory issues, sometimes showing ndis.sys and other errors. I ran Windows memory tests and everything looks normal. It’s a new build and has just been replaced. All my PC components have been swapped recently, honestly.
Current motherboard BIOS updates available. RAM placement in designated slots confirmed.
The problem is "Memory Mangement" is as you expected, usually related to memory, while "ndis.sys" is related to your network driver. Try running "SFC Scan": Open "Command Prompt" as Administrator Input the command "sfc /scannow" (without quotes) and press Enter to start the scanning. Wait until the process is 100% complete Also, are you on a fresh install of Windows? Additionally, it's also possible this is virus/malware related. You claim to have replaced all the hardware. However, it might be a software issue.
Are all components correctly positioned? Do you use any special cooling method? I experienced memory problems after overly tightening the mounts on the monoblock I was using for my system board. After letting them relax a bit, my memory functioned normally again.
I ran sfc/scannow and everything looks good. My Windows setup is up-to-date, and I’m confident there’s no malware present. I’ve double-checked that all components are correctly installed and seated in their slots, and I’m using the latest BIOS version. The ndis.sys error points to my network adapter, which has been causing issues for me. It seems I need to use the 2019 network drivers instead of the newer ones, as they don’t work properly.
It might be related to something inside the case. Have you removed everything and built a temporary test setup? It could help identify the issue. Certain parts of the case can interfere with assembly. I’ve seen videos on YouTube where people repair gaming PCs and discover common problems. Also, check your internet connection—use Ethernet or try a different cable if needed.
