Occasionally every few months, especially around big updates or Windows feature changes, it can take around an hour to set everything up using my scripts.

I also maintain copies of my system images in case the operating system fails and requires a restore.

When my hard drive is packed with unnecessary files and I don’t have the energy to tidy it up, I just copy the essential data and wipe everything else.

Typically each year around Win XP, you didn’t have to upgrade to Windows 7—just moved to 10. Clean installations can be a hassle, unless there’s a simpler method to reinstall your games on a brand-new OS instead of re-downloading everything, right?

Keep all your games on a different hard drive. This prevents them from getting lost during a clean install.
