I've been using Windows 8 for a few weeks now and so far only faced driver reinstallation problems. It's unclear why people are complaining. I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro 64 Bit.

It messed up my computer completely, which is why 100% data usage stays active all the time.

The interface is very unpredictable. Some sections appear in one place, others in another, and a third part needs you to reset everything.

It faced problems at the start and later too. Users were upset about the Metro design in 8.0—it wasn't as straightforward to remove, and many didn't like it on their desktops. 8.1 improved on that. It's fine; I've moved from Windows 7 and I don’t regret it when using Windows anymore.

I'm really happy that Windows 10 resolved the control panel problem. Don't worry about the original release on Windows RT before the 8.1 update...

I experimented with it on my brother's machine and quickly got comfortable. Probably that's why I'm not having any problems with it.

He's been using Windows 8 from its release and still faces stability problems. It only functions properly after applying the newest updates.

It was completely unlike anything people were using back then. Think about it—what would you expect? The first thing you see is a bunch of boxes, but what do they do? You don’t know, so you start experimenting and can’t locate the start menu or the usual desktop.

I'm experiencing some unusual problems with this version of Windows (8.1). The interface works fine, and the disk usage seems straightforward to resolve. But there are persistent bugs that have never occurred before. I've faced memory leaks while using Word, which led to crashes and made it hard to access pre-installed apps. Recently, installing certain programs always results in only the temporary files being accepted, not the full downloads. Windows Explorer frequently freezes unexpectedly, and after a prolonged shutdown (over five minutes), fans still run but everything fails to boot normally. After restarting, it enters automatic repair mode, which does nothing. These issues have appeared only with this OS, and I suspect they're related to the instability of Windows 8.1. As someone who mainly uses video editing, games, and watching TV, I don't usually interact deeply with the system itself. Still, these problems are frustrating and make me question whether this version is reliable for my needs.

It was a system designed for mobile devices, but many prefer it for desktops. Also, to mark my milestone of reaching 6,770 posts...
