Well, I need to mention something about Manjaros defense: one size isn't suitable for everyone. It's not terrible, but I prefer Arch on my desktop, which is mainly for fun and not serious work. I’m fine with it breaking sometimes ;-). I thought Manjaro, being marketed as user-friendly, would handle things well, so I wouldn’t have to troubleshoot it on my laptop, which is more important for work and on the move. That’s why I decided to give it a try (I really like Pacman, but it looks like few easy-to-use distros use it). In my view, user-friendly means it should run smoothly offline and only break occasionally. But I seem to be testing it quite often. At least kernel updates aren’t too frequent, though other features are still in beta with users. Maybe my assumption about Manjaro was incorrect, or they’re unsure where the distribution fits. Or perhaps they’re still searching for its ideal position on the map =). This matters a lot: if it doesn’t attract enough users, the community could shrink, and the distribution might never really take off...
Ubuntu Unity 16.10 is set up on your desktop, while Ubuntu Gnome 16.10 runs on another laptop. Fedora 25 Gnome is installed on the first laptop, and Elementary OS (latest) is active on your other machine. You also have an openSuse VM running on your desktop.
