Linux Mint 18.1 with Cinnamon works well as a secondary operating system. It’s definitely my top choice, mostly since it reminds me of Windows.

It functions perfectly for me, with no problems except those I created myself. I've likely been using it for nearly a year now.

On my laptop I use Manjaro and on my desktop Arch Linux. From what I've noticed, Manjaro tends to have more issues than it needs to be, and the community support isn't very strong.
