Aren't we aiming for this goal from the start? Without the information and responses, the initiative would truly lose its meaning...

Hi, this choice seems set by a rule. After checking, I discovered it. 1. Press Windows key + R, type regedit and press enter. 2. Navigate to path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\DataCollection. 3. Modify AllowTelemetry DWORD to 1 if it isn’t already. By the way, are you using Windows 10 Home or Pro? Edit: "this setting is controlled by your organisation" yes... This is just a local policy Microsoft applied on your machine. They’re misusing system admin tools to restrict your own system. Sounds reasonable.

Are you using your personal device within your own system, or are you testing on someone else's machine?

When you signed up for the Insider Preview, Microsoft stated they would collect full telemetry data (and possibly more than usual). If you’re not comfortable with this, you should exit the preview since you don’t support the conditions they set during enrollment.

This explains how the program functions—getting full access to the latest features and updates, while Microsoft gathers data to identify bugs and improvements for testing the operating system. You agreed to this when you signed up. If you assumed it was a free experience, you missed the mark! For actual control over the purchase, the OEM license is $99 USD and the non-OEM version costs $198 USD. ^^
