I previously took part in the Insider Program (2015-2017). This is included in the terms and conditions. I joined mainly because Windows 10 was a solid operating system at the time, offering some telemetry data. The first Windows 10 release was decent (and indicated Microsoft was listening). However, the recent updates have been lacking in quality, with several bugs appearing recently. That’s why I decided to leave the program. It seems testing hasn’t been as rigorous anymore. The Insider Program doesn’t seem to be improving either. It’s disappointing to say the program isn’t worth joining unless you’re a dedicated Windows expert. Instead, try running the Insider Preview on a virtual machine for a safer experience, knowing Microsoft won’t gain much from a temporary setup. Those early days of Windows 10 shine are behind us. Now it’s just routine work with the OS.

You might want to consider what Jarno recommended. It gives you a chance to use it temporarily. Later, if you restart your system, it should work again. Normally, it will go back and show a notice that you're not in the Insider Preview until you press the "Fix me" button, which will reset the change.
