Didn't intend to turn the thread into an overclocking topic. Just wanted to mention components. Sorry.

The product meets the requirements as it uses a socket LGA775, compatible with the Q9650. The 212 Evo stands at 158.5mm in height; ensure you verify the clearance between the CPU socket and the side of the case.

Is there a gap in the area behind the motherboard that allows access? The cooler relies on a back plate to secure it, so you might need to take off the motherboard to install the bracket if you can't reach it from the side of the case.

Quick inquiry from Dragonlord3338 about the Hyper 212 EVO compatibility with the Dell OptiPlex 780 MT. Also curious if adding case fans would be feasible.

No, that's incorrect since the Dell OptiPlex 780 uses the TX format. Additionally, the cooler mounting screw base isn't square-shaped.

You're wrong, the Dell OptiPlex 780 uses the BXT format, and the cooler mounting screw base isn't square-shaped.

Do you have space in the back of the case for the motherboard? You might need to take it off to install the bracket if you can't reach it from the side.
[strike]I don’t own the case yet, so I’m not sure. The size is quite large—I think a 212 would fit.
The motherboard is BTX; I’ll have to use a Dell cooler then...

If the q9650 appears in the list of supported CPUs for Dell, and the corresponding cooler can handle it, though it may not match the performance of some aftermarket options. You might find it difficult to locate both the appropriate cooler and the compatible case, especially since the BTX case is required for that specific model (optiplex 360/380).

And you might struggle to locate those specific Dell coolers or the compatible case, especially for the MB (optiplex 360/380). Are there any aftermarket coolers that could fit it?
