Do you have the Overclock Genie button activated? Check the upper left corner of the BIOS display to confirm its status. If it's illuminated, disable it.

You haven't activated the Overclock Genie button, have you? Check the upper left corner of the BIOS display and verify if the button is illuminated. If it is, turn it off. Otherwise, when you press it, the system will inform you that the OC genie function isn't supported by processors over 200 or something similar. The manual mentions the processor is generally compatible.

OhHo! If the OC Genie isn't working with the 220W FX-9590, it might mean other settings like vcore boosting are also turned off. This could explain why it's grayed out. Consider reaching out to MSI to confirm.

You don't have the Overclock Genie button activated, right? Check the upper left corner of the BIOS screen to see if the button is illuminated. If it is, turn it off.
If not, clicking it will indicate that the OC genie function isn't supported by processors over 200 or something similar.
The board manual mentions the processor is generally compatible.
Hello, sorry for interrupting this discussion. I've had the same motherboard and CPU as you and encountered the same issue. Could you let me know if you found a solution and would be willing to share it?

Are you sure the Overclock Genie button is active? Check the upper left corner of the BIOS display and verify if the light is on. If it is, turn it off. When it’s off, the system will inform you that the OC genie function isn’t supported for processors over 200 or something similar. The manual mentions general compatibility, but in practice, adjusting voltages via MSI command center is necessary. They also noted that even with the default settings, some users experience a blue screen. I’m planning to replace my motherboard next year.

Solution: Nope
After consulting MSI support, they confirmed you can’t modify BIOS voltage settings and there’s no alternative. Their tests show the default works, but real-world builds differ. I’ll need to upgrade to a better board this year.

I achieved stability by lowering the FSB to 190, reducing the clock speed to 4.5, yet the system remained stable.
